The Permanent Outdoor Installation (POI) range by SGM

The P-10 POI is part of a range of IP66-rated lighting fixtures for permanent outdoor installations, in both entertainment and architectural applications. The POI fixtures are based on the familiar standard fixtures – with the same optical performance and electrical components, but optimized for permanent outdoor installations.

They feature extremely bright and powerful colors and a resilient housing to protect them in outdoor environments. Engineered to endure even the most extreme weather conditions, the POIs take on rainy days, icy winters, dusty winds, extreme heat and salty sprays of seawater – eliminating the need to shield off the fixtures to protect them from the elements. Additionally, the P-10 POI’s simple, durable exterior defends it from vandalism.

A patented dehumidification processor prevents condensation, which in turn prevents corrosion and ultimately prolongs the lifespan of the electronic components. This technology makes SGM the only true manufacturer of permanent outdoor LED installation products.

Customization is part of the POI philosophy. The POI fixtures are available in white and black, as well as an array of custom RAL colors, to accommodate the requirements and high aesthetic standards of architects and designers.

Construction

The P-10 POI is an ultra-compact form-follows-function Danish designed luminaire that blends in with any contemporary or historical architecture. The body and frame is made from extruded or pressure cast marine grade aluminum, Oxsilan ® pre-treated, and powder coated to corrosion class C5-M marine grade. The Front lenses consist of impact resistant tempered glass with marine grade stainless steel or aluminum fixings. The scale and fan cover is made from durable materials, including impact and UV resistant P6. This fixture also comes with pignose tilt locks and a scale with mark on yoke for easy installation. The pignose tilt locks can be locked in place using the included key, protecting your fixed installations from vandalism and theft.

LED Technology

This compact, rectangular, full color LED luminaire incorporates 48 high-power RGBW 24W LEDs, delivering a staggering output of 39690 lumens. It features a superior dimming performance for velvet smooth fades and flicker-free operation. The LEDs’ expected lifetime is 50,000 hours.

Colors

SGM flood lights are designed to achieve deep reds and warm pastels but also blue saturates, bright magentas, and soft turquoises and includes linear color temperature control from 2000K - 10000K. Additionally, the P-10 POI wash and flood light delivers best-in-class optical color mixing, with the same accurate color calibration as the entire SGM flood light range, avoiding color shifts.

Optics

The 48 individual lenses of the P-10 POI luminaire deliver a native 11º (with 10º lens) narrow beam or a native 33º (with 35º lens) wide beam, providing impact at up to 150m/500ft distance, whereas, the wider optics allow for a wider uniform coverage. P-10 individual lenses are designed as a unique solution for SGM's LED technology, providing maximum efficiency and reliability.

Mounting options

The universal P-10 POI wash and flood light can be oriented in any position. Additionally, M-10 bolts are included, which ensures the fixture can be tightly screwed to a surface, protecting it from both vandalism and theft. The M-10 bolts are suitable for any kind of custom-made bracket and are included with all POI fixtures. Standard accessories include half and full anti-glare shields. Being fully RDM compatible, the P-10 RGBW is ideal for installation in non-accessible locations.

Control

The built-in Lumen Radio wireless DMX receiver enables the fixture to be operated both cabled and wireless. DMX/RDM is obtained through a 5m/16.4ft cable or via wireless. Power is connected through a 3 x 1½ mm2 pre-fitted 5m/16.4ft cable.To avoid operating a menu, this fixture comes with a magnet key. The magnet key can easily log off the fixture, which will force the fixture to automatically search for a new wireless transmitter. This user-friendly, wireless-setup makes it ideal for non-accessible locations, and as there are no external antennas visible, the fixture keeps its clean look, complimenting any historical or modern architectural structure.
