The Permanent Outdoor Installation (POI) range by SGM

The G-Wash POI is part of a range of IP66-rated lighting fixtures for permanent outdoor installations, in both entertainment and architectural applications. The POI fixtures are based on the familiar standard fixtures – with the same optical performance and electrical components, but optimized for permanent outdoor installations.

They feature extremely bright and powerful colors and a resilient housing to protect them in outdoor environments. Engineered to endure even the most extreme weather conditions, the POIs take on rainy days, icy winters, dusty winds, extreme heat and salty sprays of seawater – eliminating the need to shield off the fixtures to protect them from the elements. Additionally, the P-10 POI’s simple, durable exterior defends it from vandalism.

Customization is part of the POI philosophy. The POI fixtures are available in white and black, as well as an array of custom RAL colors, to accommodate the requirements and high aesthetic standards of architects and designers.

Construction

The G-Wash POI with full 'moving head' functionalities is designed and manufactured in Denmark and blends in with any contemporary or historical architecture. It features ultra-high-speed strobe effects, and rotating indexable beam shaper. Base and heat sinks are made from extruded or pressure cast marine grade aluminum, Oxsilan ® pre-treated, and powder coated to corrosion class C5-M marine grade. The yoke and fan covers are made of durable materials, including impact and UV resistant P6.

LED Technology

This tough and reliable LED projection luminaire includes a powerful 750W RGB LED engine capable of deep saturates and smooth color transitions. The G-Wash POI brings an extensive color palette, where warm, pale hues and bright color tones are combined with deep saturated blue, red, or magenta. It allows the user to generate powerful colors while controlling the beam precisely. The LEDs expected lifetime is 50,000 hours.

Colors

When it comes to colors, the G-Wash POI really makes a difference. The SGM color mix is applied in this wash projector at its best, generating bright tones never seen before in a Fresnel luminaire. However, the G-Wash POI is also a great light source to create bright and versatile dynamic whites, as it comes with linear color temperature control from 2000K - 10000K. The G-Wash POI delivers a staggering lumen output and is able to achieve 3800 lumens in red, 3800 lumens in green, and 1400 lumens in blue. These high values makes the G-Wash the perfect companion for medium-sized venues as well as for large-scale installations.

Fresnel behavior

Like traditional fresnel projectors, the G-Wash POI creates sharp defined shadows in flood position and diffuse silhouettes in spot position.

Beam shaper

For those users who want to extend their collection of effects, the G-Wash POI includes the option of a beam shaper. By adding this module, the G-Wash POI is able to build different shapes in the beam, which can be combined with other features like zoom and colors. The optional beam shaper can work both in indexed and rotating modes over DMX, allowing the user to cover a specific area or to play with movement.

Mounting options

The G-Wash POI can be mounted in any direction. Additionally, M-10 bolts are included, which ensures the fixture can be tightly screwed to a surface, protecting it from both vandalism and theft. The M-10 bolts are suitable for any kind of custom-made bracket and are included with all POI fixtures. Handles can be found in the base as well to help users mount the fixture. Being fully RDM compatible, the G-Wash POI is ideal for installation in non-accessible locations.
